Types of Pasta and Noodles at
Noodles and Company

We Know Oodles when it comes to Noodles

From spaghetti to shells, macaroni to zucchini, and Udon to the unusual, at Noodles & Company we celebrate pasta and noodles in all of their different shape, flavors, and forms.

Across the globe, we see noodles as a foundation for amazing dishes. Though these dishes may look and taste very different, they all are full of flavors, creativity, and deliciousness. In our kitchen, we are excited to bring these flavors to our guests with cooked to order dishes, and they all start with the best noodles around.

Whether you are looking for a specific kind of noodle, searching for something lower carb or gluten-sensitive, or wanting to mix up the base of your favorite dish, our variety of noodles and pasta options makes sure there is something for everyone.

Our Noodle & Pasta Options

Penne Noodles

Forever a classic, our penne noodles make for an easy bite on every fork, and allow our complex and flavorful sauces to shine. The diagonal cuts on the end of each noodle are meant to reflect a quill pen, which is what gives this pasta shape its name.

Try with our Penne Rosa, or as the base of our Oven-Baked Chicken Parmesan.

Cavatappi Noodles

Cavatappi pasta takes its name from the word "corkscrew" in Italian, which is the perfect name for this twisty spiral pasta. This pasta shape makes it perfect for holding onto sauces, which gets caught in the spirals and clings to the noodles, ensuring the maximum flavor in each bite.

Try with our Pesto Cavatappi, or substitute them on your Mac and Cheese for a (literal!) twist on a classic.

Spaghetti Noodles

There may be no noodle more famous than the humble spaghetti. Though it first rose to widespread popularity in the 20th century, especially as Italian immigrants brought it to the United States, references to similar, long, thin pasta noodles can date all the way back to the 12th century in Sicily.

Our spaghetti noodle is the base for the aptly-named Spaghetti & Meatballs, and is also featured in our Alfredo MontAmoré® with Parmesan-Crusted Chicken.

3-Cheese Stuffed Tortelloni

Yes, you read that right - it's Tortelloni, not Tortellini. When we were searching for the best stuffed pasta to bring to our menu, we knew Tortelloni would be the perfect choice.

Tortelloni are a larger version of the more ubiquitous Tortellini, though they maintain a similar shape. The larger size allows us to fit even more goodness stuffed into the pasta, and ensures the noodle pairs well with a variety of tomato and cream based sauces as a complete entrée.

Our Tortelloni are stuffed with a savory blend of ricotta, mozzarella, parmesan, onions and garlic, and featured with our Rosa, Pesto, and Garlic Cream sauces.

Wavy Egg Noodles

Our egg noodles have a rich flavor and a tender, smooth texture, which contributes to a soft and delicate mouthfeel. The wavy shape helps make this noodle blend with sauces and seasonings, making every bite full of comforting flavor.

These noodles make for the perfect base for our Buttered Noodles, a welcoming yet elevated classic topped with Italian seasonings and parmesan.

Elbow Macaroni Noodles

Macaroni noodles date back hundreds of years in both Italy and England, but only reached their current level of popularity in the 20th century in the United States, as they become the namesake foundation for our favorite comfort food, macaroni and cheese.

You can find our elbow macaroni as the base for our world famous mac and cheese dishes.

Udon Noodles

Udon noodles are thick noodles with a slightly chewy texture, and an amazing ability to soak up sauce and flavor without losing their shape or texture. Early on, these noodles were considered quite the luxury item throughout Japan. Over time, these noodles became more widely available in Japan, and have since become one of the most popular noodles both in Japan and across the globe.

Our Japanese Pan Noodles feature Udon noodles, which perfectly pick the sweet and savory flavors of the dish's soy sauce and fresh veggies.

Lo Mein Noodles

With a long shape and soft texture, lo mein noodles are a very versatile noodle, and a great option for a variety of noodle stir fry dishes.

Our Spicy Korean Beef Noodles feature lo mein noodles stir fried with a sweet and spicy Korean-style Gochujang BBQ sauce.

Rice Noodles

A staple in dishes across Southeast Asia, rice noodles are made from ground rice that is shaped into a noodle and cooked. These noodles have been around for centuries, and work well in everything from soups to salads to stir fries.

Our Pad Thai features a base of rice noodles, and they can also be used for a unique variation of our other dishes.
